Bishop Dale P. Combs, Senior Pastor
Bishop and Mrs. Dale and Lisa Combs were married May 26, 1979. Lisa serves as the Program Director and Worship Leader of Jubilee Worship Center. Bishop Combs and Lisa have two children, Dalisha and Dale. Dalisha was wed on August 23, 2003 to Nathan Otero and resides in Hobart, Indiana. Nathan and Dalisha have one son, Micah. Dale Combs is 17 years old and attends Maranatha Christian Academy in Portage, Indiana. Dale Philip Combs was born November 27, 1959 in Great Yarmouth, England, the oldest of 5 boys while his father was stationed there serving in the United States Air Force. (Mr. Combs had married Mrs. Combs the year before.) Bishop Combs comes from a long line of ministers dating back to his great grandfather, who was a traveling preacher in Kentucky when the Pentecostal movement began. His grandfather was a minister. His brother James, Bishop Combs' great uncle, served as Pastor in West Indianapolis Indiana Church of God. At one time, his church was the largest Church of God in Indiana. Bishop Combs also has an uncle who is a retired Church of God minister. Bishop Combs' father served as a pastor in Michigan, New York, Indiana, Florida, and Arizona until he retired in Florida several years ago. Bishop Combs attended Lee (College) University in 1978 and Indiana University Northwest in 1984. He is currently working on his degree in Theology. Bishop Combs served the Church of God denomination as District Youth Leader in the early 1980’s. He also served on the State Evangelism Board for one term, the Examining Board for one term, and has served as Leader of the Mentoring Group for the Northern District. He is presently serving his third term on the State Council. He spent two years in Lafayette, Indiana serving a congregation that grew from six people to over sixty people in attendance at his last service. Bishop Combs has served as the Senior Pastor of Jubilee Worship Center since March of 1989. Prior to that, he served Jubilee Worship Center for 6 years as the Associate and Youth Pastor under the leadership of Rev. Don Rehmel. He presently serves as Chaplain of the Lake Station Police Department (since 1994), Chaplain for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department (since 1998), and Chaplain for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (since 1997). He is a graduate of the Porter County Reserve Academy, Valparaiso University Valparaiso Indiana, Top 10 in the class. He is presently enrolled at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a major in Theology.
